On the occasion of International Women’s Day, we pay tribute to women around the world. In most cases, this means showering women with flowers, various gifts, and endless kindness to remind them how much they mean to us. However, the significance of March 8 goes far beyond this decades-long tradition. We only need to take a few steps back in history to see that equality was nowhere to be found. This day is also a testament to the courage and unwavering determination of women.
You may be surprised by the fact that nearly 70% of our employees are women, which is why March 8 has a special atmosphere at our company. This year, we treated our female colleagues to hyacinths, one of our favorite perennial plants, and in line with our environmentally conscious approach, we chose bulb plants over cut flowers. This means that these flowers will not only bring temporary joy but will also beautify gardens once planted in nature.
Women’s Day (and Women’s Month) does not end here.
However, appreciating our female colleagues does not end with this gesture. This year, the entire month of March is dedicated to them. Our HR department has prepared several internal activities throughout the month. One of these is our TiszAgarden prize game, within which our female colleagues will have the chance to enrich themselves with additional attractive plants. At the same time, our LionWoman campaign is also underway. We invited our colleagues to nominate a female colleague who holds a special place in their lives and who, because of her abilities and behavior, deserves the title of Lion Woman. The submitted nominations will be processed, and the colleagues with the highest number of votes will be rewarded with a surprise.
We consider such initiatives extremely important within our company for several reasons: they contribute to strengthening team spirit and creating a positive atmosphere, while also emphasizing the importance of mutual care and attention. We continuously expand the list of our special events, with our employees also taking part through questionnaires and satisfaction surveys. Our highlighted mission is to be an attractive workplace where working in a good mood forms the basis of success.
